Welcome to the new South Valley Sand Volleyball League (SVSVL)

We are starting a new sand volleyball league for our youth and adult players.  Players from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, San Martin and South San Jose are encouraged to join our league in support of its start-up.  We are looking for a member base and for volunteers to help get this great league rolling.

Our plans are to develop a youth volleyball league that is focused on FUNdamentals of volleyball on the sand court.  Games will be non-competitive, allowing each player to have fun and to be successful.  For our older youth players, junior high and high school students, there will be league games scheduled to help develop and strengthen players in their off season.  Sand is a great form of strength training for club and high school players.  Adults will also have an opportunity to play in the sand.  League games will be schedule for adults, 18 and older.  Format for all age groups have yet to be decided.  Members will have an opportunity to give feedback on format, 2v2, 4v4, coed or not.  Email questionnaires will be sent out to members asking for their input.  Become a member and help define this league.

Our future home will be at the new Morgan Hill Sports Complex where we are planning to have three sand courts built for practices, games and tournaments.  To complete this project, we will need sand, poles and nets donated or funded to make the courts playable.  The curbs for the courts will be put in during the first phase of construction at the new Morgan Hill Sports Complex.

We are looking for any and all help.  We are at the beginning stages of forming this new league.  If you have experience forming a non-profit 501(C)(3), creating by-laws, or have an interest in seeing this project through for our youth and for the adults, we welcome you to come on board.  All help is welcome and definitely any support both physical and financial.

SVSVL plans to join the Morgan Hill Youth Sports Alliance (MHYSA) after its formation.
